A set back for outdoor weddings in the summertime can be the pesky bugs. You can use torches, bug spray or citronella candles to help keep the bugs away. During the spring and summer seasons, the weather can be tricky when trying to keep your guests comfortable, so providing shade is very important. Tents are great options for shading, especially if rain shows up in the forecast, which is when you pray to Mother Nature! However, since tents can be expensive, another great shading option for your outdoor ceremony are trees. You can always look for a venue with lots of beautiful trees to provide shade as well as aesthetics for your ceremony!

I know this one may seem obvious, but keeping your guests hydrated is important, and it doesn’t have to be as simple as just throwing waters into coolers. Providing flavor water is a yummy option for your guests, and it adds a pretty, refreshing aspect to your venue! Another fun way to keep your guests hydrated is attaching name tags to mini water bottles and using them as placeholders for your guests.

I love this idea for a cooler fall or winter wedding! Fall weddings are beautiful but are accompanied by cooler weather, so providing blankets for your guests is a great way to keep them warm! You can arrange your blankets in many ways to match your décor or even embroider them with your new last name!

If you are partying into the night after your ceremony, it is important to keep your outdoor venue well lit for you and your guests. String lights work perfect for lighting up the night and call for some great pictures! Some other lighting options that you could consider using are candles, light bulbs or lanterns.
